Shipping, cancellation & refund

Last updated 1 September 2026

This policy is published under Rule 5 of the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and applies to every order placed through this website.

1. Order confirmation

Orders placed online are acknowledged instantly on screen and by email. Our trade desk confirms availability, firm price and shipment window within one working day and issues a proforma invoice.

2. Shipment timelines

Indicative lead times from receipt of advance or workable Letter of Credit:

  • Spices, pulses and oilseeds: 10–15 days to gate-in at port.
  • Basmati and non-basmati rice: 12–18 days, subject to milling and mandi arrivals.
  • Fresh produce and reefer cargo: 5–8 days, booked to a confirmed reefer slot.
  • Ocean transit follows the carrier schedule; the bill of lading date is the shipment date.

3. Documents provided

Each consignment travels with a complete document set, couriered and sent digitally:

  • Commercial invoice and packing list
  • Bill of lading or airway bill
  • Certificate of origin
  • Phytosanitary certificate (NPPO India)
  • Fumigation certificate where required
  • Quality / analysis certificate from the nominated agency
  • Insurance certificate for CIF and DDP shipments

4. Cancellation

An order may be cancelled free of charge while its status is Submitted — that is, before we counter-sign the sales contract or begin procurement.

After confirmation, cancellation is accepted only if procurement has not commenced; where produce has been bought, graded or packed to your specification, actual costs incurred are recoverable from the advance.

Once cargo is gated in at the port or the bill of lading is issued, the order cannot be cancelled.

5. Refunds

Approved refunds are paid to the originating bank account within 10 working days of approval, in the currency received, net of bank charges and any documented costs already incurred.

Refunds of foreign inward remittance are processed through our authorised dealer bank in accordance with FEMA, 1999 and RBI Master Directions; exchange loss between receipt and refund is to the Buyer's account.

6. Short shipment, damage and loss

For CIF and DDP shipments, cargo is insured for 110% of CIF value on an All Risks basis. Loss or damage in transit is settled through the insurance claim, and we prepare and file the claim with the survey report on your behalf.

Shortage against the certified loading weight, if established by an independent survey at discharge, is credited or replaced in the following shipment at our option.
